(i) Take an empty bottle. Actually the empty bottle contains air. Attach a rubber balloon to its neck as shown in Figure. Initially, the balloon is deflated. (ii) Place the bottle in a water bath containing boiling water. After some time you will notice that the balloon gets inflated as shown in Figure. The reason is that the air inside the bottle expands on heating and it fills the balloon. Thermal expansion of air (iii) Take the bottle out of the water bath and 7 allow it to cool by itself. We will notice that the balloon gets deflated and it collapses. This is because the air inside the balloon and the bottle, has contracted on cooling. The air from balloon passes to the bottle, so the balloon gets deflated.
2. Monsoon. A monsoon is a seasonal wind which lasts for several months. The word was first used in English for the seasonal rains in the Indian subcontinent. These rains blow in from the Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea in the southwest bringing heavy rainfall to the area.
8.the eye of the storm. The center of a tumultuous situation, typically a conflict of some kind. The phrase alludes to the center of an actual storm, such as a hurricane, which rotates around a central point.
What is thunderstorms, cyclones and tornadoes?
Thunderstorms develop frequently in the hot, humid, tropical areas like India. The earth's surface gets heated up due to the sun. Hot air form above the land rises up, creating a low-pressure area.
A severe storm with heavy rain, lightning and thunder is called as thunderstorms.
When a thunderstorm strikes, it is the best to stay indoors with all doors and windows shut. It is not safe to take shelter under an isolated tree, or use an umbrella with a metallic rod. Avoid contact with water and metallic objects. It is safe to take shelter in a bus or a car because If lightning strikes, their metal body can conduct lightning to the earth without harming us. _________________________
A cyclone is a huge revolving storm over the ocean that is caused due to very high-speed winds around a central area having low pressure. The central area of the lower pressure is called the ❛Eye of the cyclone❜.It can be hundreds of kilometres wide.
A huge, powerful storm is called as cyclone.
Warning issued by the meteorological department through TV and radio should be taken seriously. People who live near sea coasts should move to safer places once a cyclone warning is issued Emergency phone numbers like hospitals, fire brigade, police station etc. Should be kept handy. _________________________
A tornado is a dark funnel-shaped cloud that reaches the ground from the sky. It is formed when a column of cold air sinks down from a dark rain cloud. Warm air from the surface of the earth rises up, whirls around the column of cold air thereby resulting in high speed winds.
A violent spinning storm that looks like a funnel is called as tornado.
Take shelter in an underground room with no windows, or in a deep ditch. If an underground room is not available, then it is safe to sit under table or bed or bow down on your knees protecting head and neck with the help of arms. _________________________
how how are wind current generated?
Wind currents are caused by pressure differences in some regions of the air. The wind pressure differences are caused by temperature fluctuations as well as humidity. The wind current then rises in hot areas and other air from cooler places rushes in to replace the vacuum created. These wind currents can send ripples in the ocean that swell gradually creating ocean currents generated .
suggest two safety measures to be taken against cyclones and tornadoes
As an individual, when cyclone or a tornado strikes, take shelter under tables, bow down and protect head and neck using arms.
Keep away from water in cyclone-hit areas as the water might be contaminated.
Stay inside houses.
Should not ignore warnings from meteorological department.
Should have all emergency numbers.
Avoid driving on roads full of water as the roads might be damaged or the vehicle may get stuck with water going inside the machinery.
cyclone are common in India especially on the eastern coastal and . a cyclonic storm or a cyclone occurs when powerful winds circulate in anticlockwise direction in northern hemisphere and in clockwise direction in southern hemisphere .
Hope it helpsu
Please mark it as a brainliest :-)
Technically, a cyclone is any kind of circular wind storm. ... Basically, hurricanes and typhoons form over water and are huge, while tornados form over land and are much smaller in size. A tornado is a violent windstorm characterised by a twisting, funnel-shaped cloud
the man have one mushin that they know where the wind comes that the send the report
Option B, Hurricanes, is the correct answer.
Strong seasonal winds and heavy rainfall called _ Hurricanes sweep into India and China from the Indian and Pacific oceans.commonly known as hurricanes in the oceans of eastern Pacific, North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea anthe Gulf of Mexico, are actually tropical cyclones are large swirling storm systems that have a common pinwheel shape that is observed in satellite images.
Powered by the warm tropical water containing stored energy, cyclones go through a multiple numbers of stages.
They sometimes begin as a cluster of tropical thunderous storms called a tropical wave.
